Job summary

Kendall’s Tavern & Chophouse in Coon Rapids, MN is hiring immediately for a Food and Beverage Supervisor. This part-time role leads restaurant, bar, catering and concession staff, coordinates training, and ensures a smooth, high-quality dining experience.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in a high-volume F&B environment, ability to work nights/weekends, and required alcohol and food handler certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years related experience in a high-volume F&B environment.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Able to stand for long periods and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Competency in Point-of-Sale systems, working knowledge of office software and reservation systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs work of restaurant, bar, catering, and concession service staff and supervises front-of-house in the absence of senior leadership.
• Assists in payroll control through efficient use of staff.
• Monitors dining experience, table turnover, guest flow and pace of outlets.
• Ensures prompt and courteous service while developing an effective flow of guests.
• Requisitions departmental supplies and maintains pars.
• Ensures cleanliness and organization of all areas (restaurant, bar, event spaces, storerooms).
• Checks event sheets and ensures spaces are set per specifications and guest requests.
• Conducts pre-event walkthroughs of event spaces.
• Loads/unloads trucks for offsite catering events.
• Maintains cash handling and alcohol service policies and liquor cost control.
