Job summary

Kendall’s Tavern & Chophouse in Coon Rapids, MN is hiring immediately for a Line Cook. You will prepare and cook food to our recipes, maintain kitchen sanitation, and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

This part-time position requires flexibility for various shifts and weekend/holiday coverage. The role supports a team-driven environment under Morrissey Hospitality’s standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Food safety certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to learn restaurant menus and recipes.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods, able to lift up to 30 lbs, and bend/reach/twist.
• Ability to make decisions and work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food items to company specifications.
• Plates prepared foods based on chefs guidance.
• Responsible for setup, operation, break down, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
• Assist with washing dishes, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning and maintaining equipment, sanitizing utensils, etc.
• Uphold high restaurant kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards.
