Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the service staff, ensuring top-tier member experiences while maintaining a clean, safe environment and meeting financial goals for sales and expenses.

You will manage dining areas, schedule staff, train and coach team members, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure compliance with ABC laws. Flexibility, clear communication, and the ability to handle peak periods are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years customer service experience.
• 5 years food & beverage experience.
• 5 years supervisory/managerial experience in F&B.
• Knowledge of Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) laws.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication with all management levels and stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manges service aspects in all F&B areas and events; greets members and guests.
• Manages dining areas, set-up, and room preparation including linens and settings.
• Ensures staff uniform compliance with dress code.
• Hires, trains, and manages staff in technical and non-technical roles.
• Creates weekly staff schedules and communicates changes.
• Coordinates reservations and events with service and kitchen staff.
• Conducts pre-shift and pre-event meetings.
• Evaluates performance and handles disciplinary actions as needed.
• Makes rounds to meet member/guest needs and manages incidents with GM.
• Performs inventory of beverage, chinaware, glassware, and silverware.
• Opens/closes dining rooms; acts as MOD after hours.
• Fills in as server/host/bartender to support peak periods.
• Controls costs and monitors labor per budget and laws.
• Trains staff on safety, sanitation, and ABC policies; monitors age verification.
