Job summary

Onni Group in Chicago is seeking a Food & Beverage Shift Lead to oversee our bustling cafe and wine bar. You will lead shift operations, supervise staff, and ensure top-notch guest experiences while coordinating tasks and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You will supervise payroll, handle orders, maintain menu knowledge, and ensure safety and sanitation standards during peak hours and after closing. This role requires evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality environments such as cafes is required.
• Experience leading shifts and delegating tasks is preferred.
• Strong customer service and cash handling skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations by delegating tasks and managing breaks to ensure smooth workflow.
• Oversee payroll, sales reporting, and daily team communication.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests and handling orders with professionalism.
• Maintain menu knowledge, accommodate dietary preferences, and promote current offers.
• Handle cash, operate POS, and manage inventory of food and beverage supplies.
• Prepare beverages and food items, assist with prep, and keep areas clean.
