Job summary

Onni Group of Companies is seeking a Food and Beverage Shift Lead to guide a busy cafe and wine bar through evening service. You will delegate tasks, supervise staff, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure smooth operations while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

You’ll manage orders, coordinate payroll-adjacent tasks, handle cash and POS, and keep the area clean and compliant with safety standards. Previous cafe or restaurant leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as shift lead in a restaurant/coffee shop preferred.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations by delegating tasks, managing breaks, and ensuring smooth workflow during peak and downtime.
• Oversee administrative duties, including payroll, sales reporting, and daily team communication.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking and serving orders, and addressing concerns with tact and professionalism.
• Ensure a positive guest experience by maintaining menu knowledge, accommodating dietary preferences, and promoting current offers.
• Handle cash transactions, operate POS systems, and manage inventory for food and beverage supplies.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items, and assist with food prep tasks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas, complying with safety and sanitation standards.
• Support team members with deliveries, stocking, and following established service procedures.

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a barista/cook/supervisor
• Previous experience as a shift lead.
• Restuarant and/or coffee shop experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
