Job summary

Angel Fire Resort is seeking enthusiastic Food & Beverage Servers for the summer season. You will take guest orders, work as part of a team, and help provide an exceptional guest experience. The role may involve assisting with special events and projects, with a focus on customer service and accuracy at the POS.

Base pay is $12/hr plus tips. The position is hourly, non-exempt, and requires NM Alcohol Server License and a Food Handler Certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of successful serving or bartending experience.
• Must have NM Alcohol Servers License before first day of work.
• Food Handler Certificate required.
• Minimum age 21.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders and use POS system to record orders.
• Relate orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Provide exceptional guest experience and assist with special events as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow sanitation procedures.
• Follow NM alcohol serving policies and ensure responsible service.

Job description

Angel Fire Resort is looking for enthusiastic Food & Beverage Servers to join our team for the summer season. Applicants must possess strong customer service skills, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment. Servers will contribute to the overall success of the restaurant by properly taking guest orders, working on a team with fellow staff members, and by providing an exceptional guest experience. This position will also occasionally assist with special events and projects.

Base Pay: $12/hr + tips

Location: All Resort restaurant locations

Employee Type: Hourly, non-exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Responds to guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Answers questions concerning cost of items, features of items, resort activities, hours of operation, weather conditions, etc.
• Takes food orders and utilizes POS system to place and record orders.
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Garnishes and decorates dishes/beverages preparatory to serving.
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Totals bill and accepts payment
• Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as needed.
• Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned regarding alcoholic service.
• Removes empty or dirty dishes, utensils, glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen.
• Completes opening and closing side work as directed.
• Follows alcohol serving policies as required by NM State Law.
• Maintains clean and orderly working environment and follows proper sanitation procedures.
• Reads and records totals shown on point of sale system and verifies against cash on hand.
• Utilizes proper cash handling procedures.
• Other associated tasks & duties as assigned.

Environment:

This is typically an indoor position. Must be able to stand, walk, and talk for entire shift and occasionally lift/carry 30lbs.
