Job summary

Legends in Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking an experienced F&B Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for events and daily operations at Hawai‘i Convention Center. You will forecast needs from BEOs, negotiate with vendors, manage inventories, and ensure cost controls across food and beverage programs.

The role requires 5–7 years in purchasing/procurement within hospitality, strong Excel skills, and LEAD and Serve Safe certifications. On-site, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by event schedules and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Forecast purchasing needs based on BEOs, attendance, menus, and event schedules.
• Develop purchasing timelines for large events to optimize inventory.
• Negotiate pricing, service levels, and terms within authority.
• Monitor market conditions and substitutions as needed.
• Manage receiving, storage, and distribution to support events.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance for food & beverage purchases.
• Maintain item masters, pricing, vendor info, and purchase orders in systems.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Events, Finance, and Operations to align purchasing with requirements.
