Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support management of F&B operations at Marriott Del Mar 211. You will help ensure high-quality service, profitability, and guest satisfaction through planning, team development, and operational excellence.

The role involves maintaining quality standards, assisting with annual budgets, evaluating offerings, addressing guest concerns, and collaborating with sales on programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management or Business required.
• 2-4 years of experience in F&B operations or hospitality mgmt, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Background check is required prior to employment.
• Experience in budget processes and guest service excellence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent food & beverage quality and uphold guest service standards.
• Support achieving budgeted revenues and expenses while maximizing profitability in the F&B department.
• Assist in preparing the annual hotel budget.
• Evaluate products and services to maintain quality standards.
• Address guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Monitor restaurant and banquets to ensure customer satisfaction and initiate corrective actions.
• Collaborate on local and national sales & marketing programs related to F&B offerings.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational plans for the department.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs to safeguard restaurant and banquet assets.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment post-events.
• Foster employee growth through training, development, and motivation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory control procedures.
• Implement and adhere to financial transaction security & credit control protocols.
• Collaborate with sales to project future business needs and workloads.
• Assist with setup of function rooms per client & sales specs.
• Other duties assigned by the Leader.

Education
