Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking a courteous Restaurant Server to deliver polished dining experiences at Marriott Del Mar 211. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service.

Responsibilities include presenting menus, suggesting courses, and handling payments. A high school diploma and TIPS/food safety certifications are required, with opportunities for ongoing hospitality training.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service or fine dining is preferred but not required.
• Experience taking orders, serving meals, and handling guest requests is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; TIPS and Food Safety certifications required.

• Take and relay orders to the kitchen or bar, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Garnish and decorate dishes before serving and occasionally serve directly from platters.
• Monitor diners’ needs and respond promptly to additional requests or concerns.
• Total bills and process payments, or direct guests to the cashier as needed.
• Replenish supplies and prepare stations for subsequent meals.
• Other duties as assigned.

HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

• Greet guests warmly and serve beverages such as ice water and coffee upon arrival.
• Present menus, suggest dinner courses, recommend wines, and answer questions about food preparation.
• Take and relay orders to the kitchen or bar, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
