Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of the F&B outlet, ensuring profitability and high quality products and service. You will supervise staff, respond to guest feedback, and align operations with SOPs and local regulations.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and leadership abilities, with hands-on presence on the floor during meal periods and ongoing staff training to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication with all staff levels.
• Able to multitask and prioritize department functions to meet deadlines.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; participate in M.O.D. coverage.
• Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet.
• Supervise outlet personnel.
• Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with other F&B managers and keep them informed of issues.
• Keep supervisor informed of problems requiring attention.
• Assist in coordinating and monitoring Loss Prevention in the outlet.
• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure preparation of reports including Wage Progress, payroll, revenue, schedules.
• Monitor quality of service in F&B outlet.
• Assist in menu planning and preparation.
• Ensure compliance with local liquor laws and health/sanitation regulations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs in all outlets.
• Be visible on the floor and assist staff during meals.
• Conduct staff performance reviews per Highgate Hotel standards.
• Train employees on SOPs and technical tasks.
• Be involved in departmental/hotel training.
• Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions and follow hiring approvals.
• Complete tip reporting.
• Understand and monitor corporate promotions in outlet.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
