Job summary

Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa, part of Davidson Hospitality Group, seeks a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all F&B operations, ensure service excellence, and drive profitability at a premier beachfront property in Carlsbad, CA.

The role requires leadership, banquet experience, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction within a luxury hospitality environment, with opportunities for professional growth across the Davidson portfolio.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English.
• Prefer two to three years of fine dining experience.
• Prefer two years banquet management experience.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Previous supervisory/management skills and experience.
• Requires 8th grade math level.
• Requires high school reasoning level.
• Requires 12th grade language use level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise F&B staff with positive leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of all F&B positions and inventory.
• Ensure consistency of product and service.
• Direct restaurant and lounge operations.
• Maintain appearance standards and security procedures.
• Maximize profitability and control labor costs.
• Monitor budget and expenditures within limits.
• Promote customer service and handle guest requests.
• Conduct performance appraisals and cross-training.
• Oversee banquet setup, payments, and inventory.
• Report status to General Manager weekly.
