Job summary

Anakeesta is seeking a friendly Host for Clifftop, its signature mountaintop restaurant in Gatlinburg, TN. You will greet guests, manage seating and waitlists, and ensure smooth communication across the dining room to set the tone for exceptional service high above the Smokies.

The role emphasizes a positive, organized presence with duties that include opening/closing shifts, POS cash handling, and providing guests with menu information and flawless service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, inviting attitude upon arrival.
• Seat guests according to rotation to support smooth service flow.
• Present menus and share information about Clifftop’s offerings.
• Manage waitlists, call-ahead seating, and guest paging systems.
• Perform opening, shift-change, and closing duties efficiently.
• Follow all alcohol awareness and safety procedures.
• Keep the host stand clean, stocked, and organized; maintain menus.
• Sanitize, restock, and store host-area items per company standards.
• Communicate guest needs to servers, bartenders, and managers.
• Address guest concerns calmly; involve management when appropriate.
• Support team during busy periods and assist restaurant operations.
• Notify staff of large party arrivals and special requests.
• Attend required food & beverage training sessions.
• Accurately handle POS and cash transactions.
• Maintain to-go order lists and paging programs; deliver to-go orders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support Clifftop operations.
