Job summary

Hermitage Country Club in Virginia seeks an Assistant Food and Beverage Director to lead dining operations, events, and banquet services. You will partner with the F&B Director to deliver outstanding member experiences and maintain high service standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, staff development, and a focus on quality, safety, and beverage program excellence, including wine knowledge and POS system oversight, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a private club, hotel, or fine dining environment.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage service standards.
• Experience with POS systems (Northstar experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing daily operations of dining outlets and banquets.
• Supervise and train service staff to ensure high-quality service standards.
• Lead on-floor service and coach staff while delivering hands-on support.
• Coordinate with culinary team to ensure seamless service and menu execution.
• Assist with scheduling, evaluation, and management of front-of-house staff.
• Handle member requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
