Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Affordability Engineer Staff - Level 4 for the F-35 Affordability Engineering team. You will drive cost-reduction initiatives and provide strategic affordability guidance to multiple stakeholders while leading a high-performing team and mentoring junior engineers.

You will perform system analyses and cost assessments across the total lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure cost-effective solutions for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field with extensive experience in the field.
• Experience with Cost Engineering, Proposals, or Cost Estimating.
• Experience with manufacturing materials, production, repairs, or sustainment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team through integration and execution of Cost Reduction Initiatives (CRI) across Production, Sustainment, and Development units.
• Advise cost-category owners and CRI project leads on affordability processes and funding options.
• Monitor CRI project budgets and provide technical guidance to program managers.
• Act as liaison among engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Develop expertise as a Value-Driven Solutions Specialist supporting leadership.
