Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants is seeking an Optician in Noblesville, IN to educate patients on lens technology and help curate an enjoyable eyewear shopping experience. The role involves calculating insurance co-pays, managing optical lab orders, and maintaining attractive merchandise displays.

You will contribute to a patient-centered environment with strong customer service and creative design skills, while assisting in order entry and ensuring timely delivery of spectacles and contacts.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting spectacles and educate on lens choices and frame styling.
• Calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility.
• Enter spectacle orders accurately and monitor status daily.
• Receive orders, verify, notify patients, and schedule dispensing.
• Follow up with patients on adapting to eyewear and contacts.
• Perform spectacle adjustments and repairs.
• Troubleshoot eyewear concerns.
• Educate patients on care of prescribed eyewear.
• Maintain inventory of optical retail area and lab supplies.
• Maintain displays of optical merchandise.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate delays.
• Perform other duties as determined by doctor/practice leadership.
