Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, seeks an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in San Jose, CA to lead and motivate the eyeglass department, drive sales, and ensure superior customer service. You’ll collaborate with General Managers and district leadership to meet goals.

The role emphasizes staffing, training, and maintaining store standards, with opportunities for growth within a large retail ophthalmic network. Sundays off policy applies in some locations.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience with supervisory exposure is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent oral and written communication for team management.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e., reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and policy compliance.
• Ensure outstanding customer service across the team.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and policy adherence.
• Communicate store performance to General Manager and leadership.
• Manage promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising awareness.
• Supervise Opticians and sales associates and coordinate day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with staffing forecasts and recruiting top talent.
