Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, seeks an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department and support store operations in a busy retail outlet in California. You will supervise opticians and sales associates, drive sales, ensure policy compliance, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen are essential, with opportunities for growth within a national network.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical sales, supervising others, and leading teams.
• Proven ability to coach and build relationships with staff.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent communication skills for management of teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure associates do the same.
• Review quality standards, remakes and enforce policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are implemented and known by staff and doctors.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day functions are completed.
• Assist GM with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting and retaining staff.
• Motivate staff to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary to meet state license/credentialing requirements.
