Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department and drive in-store performance. You will oversee staff, manage promotions and budgets, and ensure top-notch customer service across the sales floor.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for effective management of teams.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Knowledge of P&L review and performance metrics.
• Ability to forecast staffing and ensure coverage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure associates do the same.
• Review remakes and enforce quality standards and policies.
• Communicate store results to the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office.
• Manage promotions, advertising and visual merchandising in-store.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and sales associates and ensure day-to-day tasks are completed.
• Assist with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retaining qualified staff.
• Motivate team to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary to meet state licensing requirements.
