Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in St. Louis, MO seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists’ prescriptions. You will help connect patient needs with our products and services in a fast-paced retail medical setting.

The role emphasizes accurate measurements, lens selections, and upholding Total Patient Experience while supporting both medical and retail goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous ophthalmic/medical office experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient facing role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and build patient relationships.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Take facial measurements and pupillary distance.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in the system.
• Maintain inventory and keep area organized.
• Follow office protocols and perform general duties.
