Job summary

AEG Vision in Seattle, WA is seeking Optical Consultants to help patients choose eyewear and accessories, fit frames, dispense lenses to match prescriptions, and deliver outstanding service for satisfaction and repeat business.

You'll guide patients through frame selection, lens options, and coatings, take measurements, interpret prescriptions, and ensure quality from lab to final product while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains tailored recommendations.
• Keeps current on products, rebates, lenses and frames.
• Takes and updates patient calls; communicates order status.
• Assists patients in frame and lens selections; measures facial features.
• Interprets prescriptions; creates lab work orders.
• Verifies orders in time guidelines; informs patients of delays.
• Dispenses glasses and performs adjustments.
• Cleans and maintains store displays.
• Sells ancillary products.
