Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Reynoldsburg, OH is seeking an Optical Associate to assist members with eye care purchases, measure pupillary distance, and help with frame and lens fitting.

You will stock and maintain the Optical area, process purchases, and support OD services under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ABO certification within 15 months, and a willingness to work with management to comply with state licensing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months of hire in order to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Willingness and ability to work with Manager to register and maintain own NPI number as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
• Operates hardware (e.g., cash registers) and processes member purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Sells Optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring pupillary distance, and repairing frames and lenses.
• Performs final inspection of eyewear and completes eyewear orders.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant records and supports OD services where applicable.
