Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. seeks a Direct Lab Supervisor to drive retail sales by supervising lab operations. You will ensure eyewear accuracy to prescriptions, meet 7 Point Quality Verification and ANSI standards, and maintain on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1–5 years of related experience required.
• Must meet all Lab Certification requirements.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Favorable background check.
• Must have own vehicle and be insured, licensed driver.
• Must demonstrate practical application of optical theory and math.

Responsibilities

• Routinely verify that all options purchased by the customer are delivered as promised.
• Assist in recruiting, selecting and training lab associates on equipment and certification techniques.
• Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated and maintained; keep inventory and budget in check.
• Communicate and work to achieve store goals with lab associates on a daily/weekly basis.
• Control inventory shrinkage by monitoring breakage, defects, receipts, and supplies.
• Schedule lab associates per payroll guidelines while considering skills and demand.
• Conduct performance appraisals and coaching with GM/DTM support.
• Follow safety rules and waste disposal policies.
• May supervise store operations in absence of Retail Supervisor/GM.
• Promote company culture and Code of Business Conduct.
