Job summary

Stirling Eye Care is seeking an eyewear assistant to ensure high-quality patient care at all times. You will review prescriptions, educate patients on lens options, and assist with frame selections to fit medical needs and lifestyle preferences.

You will achieve sales goals, manage inventory, and communicate with physicians. Training is provided for optical experience and insurance understanding.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional presentation are required.
• 0–3 years of experience in a similar role or training available.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Coachable and open to feedback for continual improvement.
• Flexible and adaptable; professional phone/office etiquette.
• Optical experience is preferred but not required—we provide training.

Responsibilities

• Review Physician's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts.
• Educate patients on corrective lens options meeting medical and lifestyle needs.
• Provide honest, compassionate feedback on eyewear aesthetics.
• Achieve sales goals while addressing patients' needs and desires.
• Manage inventory of frames and contacts for variety and satisfaction.
• Communicate with physicians about prescriptions and eye-related concerns.
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear.
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits.
