Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an Optician 2 for Family Eyecare Associates in Sparks, NV. This full-time role focuses on helping patients choose frames, lenses, and coatings in line with optometrist prescriptions to ensure proper fit and vision.

You will provide friendly, knowledgeable service, take measurements, process orders, and assist with insurance billing. Prior 1–2 years of experience and MS Office familiarity are preferred; state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related eyeglasses experience.
• State licensure may be required by state.
• MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Determine the reason for the patient’s visit and identify lifestyle needs.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and coordinate measurements.
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit customer needs.
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments and dispense eyewear.
• Process orders and assist with insurance billing.
• Document patient communications in the practice software.
