Job summary

Greenwich Ophthalmology seeks an energetic Optical Sales Associate for its optical boutique, bridging medical eye care and retail styling to help patients select frames, lens options, and specialty products that fit prescription, lifestyle and taste.

The role includes greeting patients post-exam, reviewing prescriptions, guiding frame styling, measuring PD, and entering orders; dispensing eyewear and performing adjustments; keeping displays tidy and current with promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (prior retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred).
• Experience in an optical setting, medical office, or retail environment is REQUIRED.
• Strong communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
• High attention to detail when entering prescription measurements and order data is REQUIRED
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients post-exam, review optical prescriptions, and guide frame styling, lens options, and sunglasses.
• Accurately enter optical orders, measure PD and segment heights, and send precise specifications to the optical lab.
• Dispense finished eyewear, perform minor frame adjustments and repairs, and troubleshoot fit or comfort issues.
• Maintain clean, well-organized frame displays, assist with inventory counts, and stay informed on eyewear trends and promotions.
