Job summary

LensCrafters in Barrington, IL is seeking a Part-Time EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will greet customers, explain tests and services, and ensure accurate handling of prescriptions and patient information while supporting both retail and clinical teams.

You will assist customers in selecting frames and lenses, perform pre-exam testing with care, coach patients on contact lenses, and maintain records with HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers without delay (within 30 seconds).
• Answers the telephone promptly (3 rings) in a friendly manner.
• Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; consults with Optician/Managing Doctor when needed.
• Maintains patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Places contact lens orders and processes shipments.
• Operates POS system accurately for payments and invoicing.
• Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to vision, lifestyle and budget.
• Performs pre-examination testing with accuracy and explains measurements.
