Job summary

Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a Technician to support eye examinations, perform preliminary testing, and assist physicians. Training is provided for those without prior experience, with a focus on patient care and learning in a clinical setting.

The role emphasizes preparing patients and exam rooms, coordinating scheduling, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• No experience? Training is provided.
• Ability to prepare patients and exam rooms for eye examinations.
• Comfortable performing preliminary testing.
• Strong patient-care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
