Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants is seeking a motivated Ophthalmic Technician to support eye examinations and patient care. You will prepare patients and exam rooms, conduct preliminary tests, and assist physicians with procedures in a collaborative clinic setting.

No prior experience is required; we provide thorough training and a clear path to growth, with comprehensive benefits and a company-paid certification program.

Qualifications

• No experience? Trainers available to support you as you learn.
• Starting wage based on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
