Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a part-time Optometric Technician to support the optometrist during eye exams and deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will greet patients, obtain basic history, and ensure accurate patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

You will also assist with contact lens orders, ring fence inventory, and help with retention calls and exam coordination in a fast-paced optical environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and maintain a professional image.
• Answer the telephone promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients for exams.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs as needed.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Support retention and scheduling efforts, including follow-up calls.
• Place contact lens orders and manage contact lens inventory.
• Input data in the CIAO system with accuracy.
• Maintain a neat and organized exam and contact lens area.
• Support retail operations as capacity allows.
