LensCrafters in Pittsburgh is seeking an Optometric Technician for a part-time position. You will support the optometrist during eye examinations, gather patient history, and prepare patients for exams while ensuring HIPAA-compliant record handling and a seamless patient experience.

You will input data into the CIAO system, perform pre-exam testing, assist with contact lens orders, inventory, and coordination between medical and retail teams.

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and maintain a professional image.
• Answer the telephone promptly in a courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations, including taking medical history and preparing patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; coordinate with the Optician or Retail Management when needed.
• Handle patient records in HIPAA-compliant fashion and maintain documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, CIAO data entry, and insurance information appropriately.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and contact lenses in exam rooms.
• Support retail functions when patient demand allows.
