VisionWorks is looking for a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for onsite and remote exams, perform pre-exam tests, and explain each step of the process. You will liaise between patients and Optometrists and support initial steps of the patient journey.

The role includes assisting onsite doctors and remote patients, documenting results in EMR, coordinating with retail staff, handling insurance preauthorizations, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Competenze

One year of related experience.
Optical or healthcare background preferred.
Medical office professionalism required.
HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Mansioni

Complete patient registration and submit pertinent patient information into EMR.
Assist onsite doctor with eye examinations and document results in EMR.
For remote appointments, assist patients through the remote eye exam process and document results in EMR.
Transition the patient to a retail associate with doctor recommendations.
Preauthorize insurance in accordance with SOPs.
Schedule appointments and manage exam books according to company guidelines.
