Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to be the first touch for patients, guiding them to appointments with empathy in a fast-paced call center environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, medical office experience, basic insurance knowledge, and proficiency with internal systems (NextGen a plus). Strong communication and confidentiality under HIPAA are essential, with Spanish bilingual skills being an asset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to navigate custom computer software and internal systems; NextGen experience a plus.
• Experience in Medical Office including Insurance knowledge desirable.
• Detail oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; empathy and active listening.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• In a call center environment, service patient needs while accepting inbound calls with focus on customer service.
• Communicate professionally with patients based on appointment availability and location.
• Meet minimum monthly metrics and requirements.
• Collaborate with internal partners and clinics to support patient needs.
