Optical Outlets is seeking an optical staff member to support patients, assist with eyewear selection, fitting, and dispensing, and help the Doctor and Office Manager. You will greet customers, explain processes transparently, and resolve visual problems while ensuring accurate measurements and smooth transactions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication to document customer situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs with targeted questions.
• Proven problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to listen, process transactions and assist customers simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Attract and retain customers by providing unsurpassed customer service.
• Greet customers and explain the process in a transparent way.
• Assist patients with merchandise selection, fitting frames, and dispensing eyewear.
• Solve visual problems or challenges for customers.
• Manage customer transactions at the time of purchase.
• Serve as a center of excellence for others with a focus on Right the First Time.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to vision, lifestyle, and budget.
• Assist other retail associates with difficult product needs and prescriptions.
• Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear accurately.
• Inform Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients.
• Perform all tasks assigned by Office Manager.
