The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 1 year in a medical office, and reliability with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Nextech/ICP experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year medical office experience preferred
• Strong reliability with good attendance and punctuality
• Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; routing to next level when needed

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify appointment details
• Manage check-in/check-out, calls, emails and scheduling
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for in-office visits
• Collect co-payments and outstanding balances; document in practice management system
• Explain billing procedures to patients
• Enter data accurately in the practice management system
• Prepare charts; handle records requests
• Answer phones and relay messages between patients and staff
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Assist with onboarding and training of new front desk staff
