Job summary

American Vision Partners seeks a Patient A/R Specialist to manage accounts receivable for assigned patient segments and to perform collection duties in accordance with federal and state regulations. You will answer inbound calls and assist with patient account questions.

You will follow up on balances, discuss accounts with patients, ensure accurate statements daily, and coordinate with accounting for refunds and adjustments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in medical billing and AR roles.
• Strong understanding of CMS guidelines, insurance policies, and coding related rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Follows up with patients to ensure outstanding balances are paid.
• Handles inbound patient calls and answers account questions.
• Processes payments and sets up payment arrangements.
• Maintains accurate patient statements daily and coordinates with accounting for refunds.
