Job summary

Saint-Gobain Life Sciences in the United States, North Carolina, CLAREMONT is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shift teams, drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the plant floor. You will manage OEE, support continuous improvement, and coordinate with support departments to meet facility objectives.

The role requires a technical or business degree with 5+ years in production supervision, plus strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Technical field or Business administration.
• -10+ years experience in lieu of a formal degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years experience directly supervising, leading, and developing others.
• Proficient in computers and spreadsheet software with experience with business systems (Microsoft Office, etc.).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or WCM experience, is required.
• Excellent interactive skills, and team player with strong written and verbal communication.
• Must be independent, quality- and cost-conscious, with leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift employees to ensure safe work and quality production and meet operational objectives.
• Manage Schedule Adherence and %OEE by department.
• Facilitate problem solving activities to troubleshoot production-floor issues.
• Periodically conduct process/product quality audits and communicate customer complaints.
• Fully utilize and interface with MRP systems for daily data input and output.

Ensure that employees safely produce the highest quality products in the silicone industry, following the standards of operation as set forth by SGPPL, Beaverton. Promote a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibit good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

Supervise shift employees to ensure that they are working safely, producing quality product and meeting operational objectives. Coach and develop direct reports. Manage departmental activities and coordinate with support departments to meet facility/corporate objectives. Initiate/participate in self-development and training of others. Understand all safety, environmental and quality policies and significant impact of job activities.
