Job summary

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. is seeking a Line Operator to run and maintain a plastic extrusion line, ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency.

The role requires 40+ hours per week, including weekends, with second shift responsibilities and potential cross-line operation. You will follow SOPs, perform line tooling changes, run start-ups/shutdowns, and conduct routine product sampling while supporting maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate heavy machinery, i.e. forklifts, in a safe manner
• Reading and Writing skills
• Self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Embraces a culture of safety and helps maintain a safe work environment.
• Manages a plastic extrusion line to meet quality specs and customer needs.
• Uses SOPs to keep the line running per specifications.
• Leads line tooling changes, start-ups, and shutdowns.
• Performs regular product sampling and documents shift production.
• Assists with Preventative Maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoots process/mechanical issues and makes repairs as needed.
