Illinois State University in Normal, IL is seeking an Extra Help Clerical in the Business Office to provide general accounting support, including processing travel vouchers, responding to travel policy questions, and handling regular vendor payments.
The position is part-time, with hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Candidates should have at least one year of customer service experience. Sponsorship is not provided, and benefits eligibility is limited for Extra Help.

Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for Illinois State University in the United States. Illinois State University will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Illinois State University is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Illinois State University.
Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University’s supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
