Illinois State University is seeking a Building Service Supervisor to direct and supervise personnel in Bond and General Revenue Facilities on multiple shifts. The primary purpose of this position is to be managerially responsible for and to provide direction and supervision to personnel in Bond and General Revenue Facilities on any shift (8:00 am-4:30 pm, 4:00 pm-12:30am and 11:00 pm-7:30 am). It is this position's responsibility to adopt and practice the philosophies of participative management by actively participating in quality initiatives and developing good working relationships as well as to ensure compliance with all applicable codes negotiated through agreements/contracts from all employees under his/her direction.
The Building Service Supervisor improves the campus facilities by participating in the coordination of efforts of the Building Services division. This position assists in the research, testing, and training for new products, supplies, and equipment used in Building Services operations and provides input into the acquisition of products.
