Job summary

UEI College in California seeks an Associate Career Services Specialist to maintain extern records, assist with paperwork and reports, and support events such as Senior Day and Extern Orientation. The role collaborates with the Career Services team to ensure compliance and smooth operations for externships and graduate checkout.

The candidate will coordinate schedules with department heads, prepare materials and visuals, and help manage data and advisements within the Career Services department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or an Associate Degree is preferred.
• Solid understanding of the Student and Extern life cycle within a school setting and/or the Career Services externship process.
• Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, including problem solving, organization and conflict resolution.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and represent the campus in employment communities.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change; high energy and ethics.
• Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate records of extern students, active extern employers, and students.
• Assists Director of Career Services and staff with extern timesheets and employer paperwork for compliance.
• Supports Senior Day/Extern Orientation, site assignments and site development for externs.
• Prepares materials, sign-in sheets and presentations for events and meetings.
• Interacts with Education Department on reports and calendars; liaises for LDA and SOS meetings.
• Ensures timely filing and update of extern paperwork and program packets.
