Job summary

APG Federal Credit Union is seeking an External - Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans by building strong relationships with third-party referral sources, branches, and borrowers. The role targets production through outside sales and cross-sell opportunities across auto, credit card, and share accounts.

The MLO will partner with realtors and financial professionals to drive referrals, manage loan processes from application to closing, and maintain ongoing client

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Three+ years of outside mortgage sales experience.
• NMLS registration required.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit business opportunities by networking with realtors, builders, community partners, and APGFCU branches.
• Meet with prospective borrowers to analyze their financial situation, discuss goals, and recommend mortgage products.
• Collect, review, and verify all necessary financial documentation for underwriting.
