COUNTRY Financial invites students to join a structured internship program designed to expose them to real corporate projects, meetings, and networking opportunities. Interns will learn from leaders across the country and collaborate with peers to develop ideas and projects that contribute to COUNTRY’s vision and community impact.

This hybrid internship runs from late May 2027 to early August 2027, with potential extension into fall 2027 and spring 2028.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Must be able to work full-time hours from late May 2027 to early August 2027.
• Graduation date of August 2027 or beyond.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in content creation and storytelling.

About the role

The External Affairs team is responsible for strengthening trust and protecting the reputation of COUNTRY Financial. In this role, there are a variety of responsibilities across the function that could include writing and pitching newsworthy stories, capturing and writing organic social media posts and attending in-person marketing and media events. This role requires strong writing abilities, both long and short form writing like articles, press releases, headlines, quotes and social media posts. We work in a fast-pace and rewarding environment where our goal is to highlight our company vision of enriching lives in the communities we serve!

Application Timeline

Applications open in mid-September and are reviewed as they are received. HR interviews are expected to begin in mid-October, followed by interviews with hiring leaders. Depending on the role and applicant volume, hiring decisions and offers may be made anytime from October through January. We appreciate your patience throughout the process and will communicate updates as they become available.
