Job summary

Drexel Building Supply, Inc. seeks an Exteriors Category Manager to act as the Category "CEO" and Strategic Architect of a multi-million dollar portfolio (roofing, siding, decking, fasteners).

You will own P&L, drive inventory turns, and optimize rebates within our ERP system. Through rigorous vendor management, estimating strategy, and data integrity, you will align estimating with buying power and reduce material surprises on jobsites while delivering sustained profitability for the exteriors

Qualifications

• Experience owning a multi-million dollar exterior product portfolio (roofing, siding, decking, fasteners).
• Own P&L, monitor cost drift, maximize rebates, and drive inventory turns.
• Hold exterior product partners to the Drexel Standard for on-time, in-full delivery at promised cost.
• Define preferred vendors and SKUs for Estimating to align quotes with buying power.
• Perform Deep Clean of Item Master data and deliver a 12-month category roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Act as Category CEO and Strategic Architect for the exterior portfolio.
• Define and enforce vendor accountability to the Drexel Standard.
• Set estimating strategy with vetted vendors and SKUs for accurate quotes.
• Manage aged inventory and prep Boneyard items for disposition.
• Ensure data integrity across product lifecycles in ERP and roadmap planning.
