Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Exterior Commodity at the Casa Grande facility. The role emphasizes containment of supplier quality issues, RCA/CAPA execution, and APQP/PPAP activities to ensure production stability.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Materials to drive corrective actions and supplier improvements, with opportunities to shape processes and toolsets in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in supplier quality or related automotive manufacturing roles.
Solid knowledge of quality tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, RCAs and CAPA) and GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Lead containment of supplier quality issues impacting production and coordinate supplier responses.
Drive corrective actions through structured problem solving and validation of effectiveness.
Support APQP activities by reviewing PFMEAs, control plans, process flows, and PPAP documentation.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and Materials to restore stable production.
Monitor supplier quality metrics and drive actions to reduce defects, scrap, and disruptions.
Participate in supplier audits and process assessments and follow through on improvements.
Assist with supplier engineering changes and ensure controlled implementation.
