Job summary

Lucid Motors in Arizona is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier quality performance for mass-production suppliers from initial escalation through permanent corrective action. You will lead technical problem solving and protect manufacturing operations from supplier-related disruptions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plant-floor Supplier Quality Engineering in automotive or similar manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience applying structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, APQP/PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, GD&T, and specs.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication, and independent-work skills.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality Ownership: manage quality for mass-production suppliers with scorecards and improvements.
• Issue Resolution: lead containment, root-cause analysis, and permanent countermeasures.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: collaborate with Manufacturing, Plant Quality, Material Planning, Logistics, and NPI.
• Supplier Partnership: establish expectations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Launch Readiness: support new-product builds and supplier transitions into mass production.
• Continuous Improvement: share lessons and strengthen processes and production readiness.
• Executive Visibility: report supplier performance, KPIs, risks, and recovery plans to leadership.
