Job summary

The University of Vermont is seeking a Skilled Crafts & Trades OC3 N to maintain and repair exterior building envelope systems. Responsibilities include using manufacturer specs and campus guidelines, accessing information via software, and updating records, with potential operation of a university vehicle or aerial lift.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and four years of roofing experience, OSHA knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with four years roofing experience plus related trades.
• OSHA regulations, safety and equipment knowledge.
• Experience using computers and mobile technology.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one; driver’s check required.
• Ability to stand/walk on roofs and scaffolding; climb ladders and heights.
• Initial employment contingent on background check and physical screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair exterior building envelope systems per manufacturer specs and University guidelines.
• Access information using appropriate software; update records.
• Operate a university vehicle; may operate an aerial lift.
• Report problems and repair timelines to building occupants.
• Support safety, social justice, inclusion, environmental sustainability and great customer experience.
