Job summary

Arlington Public Schools is seeking an Extended Day Team Leader to assist the Supervisor in managing out-of-school time programs for children aged 4–12. The role includes coordinating activities, supervising Aides and Trainees, and ensuring safety and compliance with APS policies.

Responsibilities include planning enrichment activities, communicating with parents and school staff, and providing frontline care to students.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of planning and supervising activities for school-age children.
• Experience in leading teams of aides/trainees.
• Ability to administer emergency medications and CPR when needed.

Responsibilities

• The Extended Team Leader supports an Extended Day Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor in the management and implementation of the Extended Day program, supervision of staff, and the coordination of program activities.
• Duties include ensuring safety and well-being of students and staff, planning age-appropriate programs for children 4-12, communicating with parents and school personnel, leading professional development, ensuring policy compliance, and assisting with staff development.
• Lead and participate in program activities and professional development; ensure proper documentation and reporting as required.
