Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking program staff to support a safe, positive, nurturing environment for students in Extended Learning and Community Schools. You will supervise students, collaborate with a Program Leader, and help maintain a clean, orderly space that supports well-being and achievement.

You will build relationships with families and staff, follow district policies, and assist in planning engaging activities and daily schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and Universal Precautions certification.
  • Commitment to equity and supportive learning environments.
  • Residence in Colorado and willingness to work in Denver.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to student supervision, safety, and staff conduct.
  • Follow staff conduct guidelines and licensing requirements, maintaining required staff-to-child ratios.
  • Support the daily program schedule and supervise students in collaboration with a Program Leader.
  • Maintain appropriate student behavior standards consistent with the district Behavior Matrix.
  • Understand accident reporting and recordkeeping procedures with supervisor support as needed.
  • Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities and curriculum.
  • Prepare, maintain, and restore program spaces before and after use; review daily schedules and assignments.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, staff, and Discovery Link staff; provide accurate program information; substitute at sites as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned
