The Extended Day Assistant supports the daily operations of the school’s after school program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students. This role involves supervising children, assisting with homework, leading enrichment and recreational activities, and maintaining open communication with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Assist students with homework, reading, and other academic tasks.
• Lead and participate in games, arts and crafts, and enrichment activities.
• Ensure proper arrival and dismissal procedures are followed.
• Support the Extended Day Lead Teacher in planning and implementing activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program space.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Monitor student behavior and follow program policies and procedures.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
• Teacher Certification (preferred).

Qualifications
