Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group in Maplewood, MN seeks an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, and ensure customer trust through reliable workmanship.

The role offers an incentive-based pay structure of $18.00–$23.50 per hour, paid training and manufacturer certifications, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K.

Qualifications

• Automotive technician experience required.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance following repair orders, dealer, and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Keep management informed of mechanical problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Located at Napleton's Lexus of Maplewood, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
